This allows the reader to maneuver through the text while being able to click on any words or phrases that are confusing or unfamiliar. The program offers the definitions and explanations to the reader on the same page seamlessly and doesn’t require the reader to leave the document.

Shmoop is a site similar to Spark Notes or Cliffs Notes. It is written by Phd students at top universities, and contains many great resources for teachers. It offers teachers assignments and activities for a large number of subjects, including History, Economics and English. The premium version offers more resources, but the free has plenty of teaching tools to help a young teacher develop lessons and assignments.
